10 UV DTF Ideas You May Not Be Thinking About

10 UV DTF Ideas You May Not Be Thinking About

Alright, Pineapple people. 🍍

We need to talk about UV DTF.

Because if the first thing that comes to your mind is “cups,” you're thinking way too small.

Cups are great. Make the cups.

But I want you to start looking around and asking yourself:

What else can I put a design on—and who can I sell it to?

That's where UV DTF gets exciting.

You already have DTF for fabrics. Now you've added UV DTF for hard surfaces.

Your toolbox just got a whole lot bigger.

So, if I were trying to grow my business with UV DTF, here's where I'd start looking.

1. Go Find the Contractors

Construction companies. Landscapers. HVAC. Electricians. Plumbers. Roofers. Pool companies.

These businesses have stuff everywhere that needs their name on it.

Hard hats. Equipment. Toolboxes. Signs. Water bottles. Office items.

And don't forget the obvious one: their employees still need shirts.

That's where DTF and UV DTF start working together.

🍍 Pineapple's advice: If you're already making their shirts, ask them:

“What else are you ordering with your logo on it?”

There's your opportunity.

2. Stop Thinking About Just the Team Shirt

Schools and sports organizations can be huge customers.

Everyone wants to sell them shirts.

Okay…what else?

Helmets. Water bottles. Coach gifts. Equipment labels. Signs. Awards. Locker-room items. Booster-club products.

And don't just think about the school as one customer.

You've got athletics, clubs, teachers, PTO/PTA, booster clubs, graduating classes and individual teams.

🍍 Pineapple's advice: One school can be a whole bunch of customers hiding under one roof.

3. Every Business Needs Signs

Walk into almost any business and look around.

Business hours.

QR codes.

Wi-Fi information.

Checkout signs.

Directional signs.

Desk signs.

Counter displays.

Promotional signs.

Someone made all of that.

Why couldn't it be you?

🍍 Pineapple's advice: Don't walk into a business saying, “Want to buy a UV DTF decal?”

They probably don't care what UV DTF is.

Show them something that makes their business look better.

4. Realtors Need Stuff Constantly

I love this one because a good realtor isn't a one-time customer.

They keep selling houses.

Think closing gifts, keychains, acrylic QR signs, open-house displays, tumblers, office branding and client gifts.

Then there are mortgage companies, title companies and property managers.

🍍 Pineapple's advice: Look for customers who will need what you make again and again, not just once.

5. Go Look Inside a Restaurant

Seriously. Walk into a restaurant and look around.

QR menus. Pickup signs. Table numbers. Counter displays. Tip signs. Hours. Promotional pieces. Branded containers.

Then look at the employees.

Shirts.

Now you've got UV DTF and DTF opportunities with the same customer.

Coffee shops, bakeries, food trucks and caterers too.

🍍 Pineapple's advice: Stop trying to sell one product. Start thinking about everything that customer needs.

6.  Don't Forget Tools & Equipment

Here's one that gets overlooked.

Mechanics, contractors, installers and service companies have toolboxes, equipment, storage containers and other hard surfaces everywhere.

They need organization. Identification. Branding.

🍍 Pineapple's advice: Commercial customers have a LOT more things than shirts.

Start noticing them.

7. Salons & Barbers Are Branding Machines

Barbers. Hair salons. Nail techs. Lash artists. Estheticians.

These businesses care about presentation.

Acrylic displays. QR codes. Mirrors. Product containers. Appointment signs. Tumblers. Countertop branding.

And again…

What are their employees wearing?

🍍 Pineapple's advice: When you find an industry that cares about its image, there's usually more than one thing you can sell them.

8. Schools Are Bigger Than Spirit Wear

I know I mentioned sports, but schools deserve their own conversation.

Teachers need things.

Clubs need things.

Graduating classes need things.

Fundraisers need things.

Athletics needs things.

Administration needs things.

🍍 Pineapple's advice: Don't ask, “Does this school need shirts?”

Ask:

“How many different groups inside this school can I help?”

Completely different question.

9. Don't Sleep on Pet Businesses

Groomers. Trainers. Boarding facilities. Pet stores. Rescues. Breeders.

Signs. Kennel labels. Containers. Promotional products. Bottles. Branded accessories.

Then DTF handles their employee apparel.

🍍 Pineapple's advice: Some of the best customers aren't the industries everybody else is chasing.

Look where other people aren't looking.

10.  Go After Vendors & Events

Think about every vendor setting up at a market, festival or event.

They need price signs. QR codes. Payment signs. Displays. Branded containers. Promotional items.

And here's the fun part:

They're small-business owners too.

They understand exactly why branding matters.

🍍 Pineapple's advice: Help another small business look bigger and more professional, and you may have a customer for a long time.

Now Listen to Pineapple…

Here's the biggest thing I want you to take away from this.

Don't sell UV DTF.

Sell what UV DTF allows you to do for somebody.

A restaurant owner doesn't wake up thinking:

“Man, I really need some UV DTF today.”

😂

They might need a new QR sign.

A contractor might need branded hard hats.

A realtor might need closing gifts.

A school might need 50 personalized bottles.

Solve THAT problem.

DTF handles your fabrics.
UV DTF opens up your hard surfaces.

Now start thinking about what happens when you put the two together.

🍍 That's your Pineapple advice for today:

Don't just add another product to your business.

Add another reason for customers to choose you.

You ask. Pineapple answers. Now go grow. 🍍
